MISSION CIRCLE
ANNUAL REPORT - 2009 Members
of the Mission Circle held ten meetings this year. We have thirteen
members and an average attendance of seven or eight. We meet in the church
parlour, the first Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. with (January,
February and March at 1:30 p.m.). We are associated with the Women’s
Missionary Society (W.M.S.) of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. We
support the work of the W.M.S. with our free will offering. We also
support the “Least Coin” organization and sponsor a child in India.
Our meetings consist of a worship period; topics being on Missions in
Canada and throughout the world.
On
April 26, St. Paul’s congregation joined us after worship to celebrate
our “100th Anniversary”. (1909 to 2009) with a special cake
and coffee hour. The congregation was able to view the displays of past
W.M.S. meetings and projects. We received donations for school supplies in
Eastern Europe and bricks for a school in Jobat India. In June we had a
lovely dinner at the Century Inn & Restaurant in Normandale with
eighteen members and friends sharing memories of past meetings and social
events. Our
September meeting was shared with guests from Paris W.M.S. with Linda Shaw
sharing her experiences in
Guyana. Rev. Malcolm Muth joined us in November for a special remembrance
program. Our December meeting was our usual Christmas program led by Judy; the topic being “How shall we receive the Christ Child. This
was followed with Christmas pudding.
New
members are welcome to join us at any meeting. Secretary Jean |

Darfur in Africa with a small U.N. force. St. Paul’s Mission
Circle was founded in April, 1909 at a meeting at the manse on invitation
by Mrs. Dey, with seven founding members, so this year we are celebrating
