Please, scroll down to read a letter written by a young member of our congregation!

Let me tell you about Ms. I don’t like MS because it makes my mommy very tired and sometimes she gets grumpy because she can’t control her own body! Sometimes mommy wants to play with us but she can’t because her arms and legs feel too heavy. Ms does that. When mommy’s really tired, I read to her. Because even trying to hold up a book is too much work. It’s a good thing I learned to read!

The MS Society bought my mom a power wheel-chair, now when she is really tired she can get out of bed and be with our family. She lets me and my little brother, Gerrit, sit on it with her and she drives really fast. We call her BAHA MOMMA! The MS Society is trying to find a cure for MS, so that no one else has to get it. Sometimes I get afraid and ask my mommy if I will get MS too? She tells me not to worry about that.

Last year, I joined my moms team the "Spring Chickens". The MS society sent me a thank-you letter in the mail for raising money for the walk!

This year I want to be a Captain too, so my mom is helping me set up a Kids Spring Chicken Team called the "Cool Chicks". This is a special part of the Spring Chicken Team. I want all my friends to walk with me, and you can invite some of your friends too. Just let me know by phoning my me or my mom! We will add you and your guardian to the Cool Chicks & Spring Chickens list. The walk is held at Holy Trinity on Sunday /April 17 in the morning. There is a breakfast before the Walk and Barbeque after the Walk. They have face painting & music by bash and all kinds of fun kid activities. I can’t wait To Walk with the New Team!

Love, your, Cool Chick Captain, Khristien
