THISTLE CLUB

ANNUAL REPORT 2009

The Thistle Club celebrated 60 wonderful years of service this year, with dinner at the Cove Room, in Port Dover. There were eight regular meetings held. Activities for the year included providing luncheons for 6 funerals, preparing and serving lunch to 40 women at the WMS annual meeting in February. We served 40 people who attended the Presbytery dinner in June.  Our purchases included:  Panasonic microwave, Bunn coffee maker, serving utensils, teapot, battery powered candles, food and beverage supplies. Donations were made to Simcoe Caring Cupboard, Bridging the Gap and to St. Paul’s current account. The Holly Luncheon Bazaar was a great success again this year, due to the continuing support of St. Paul’s congregation. Your help and support make it possible for us to donate to many causes. Thank you to everyone who assists us in our endeavors. Ladies of the congregation are always welcome to join us at our meetings, the second Wednesday of the month.
