ANNUAL REPORT 2007 Nine regular meetings of
St. Paul’s Thistle Club were held in 2007. Our purchases included:
kitchen supplies, daffodils for Daffodil Sunday, pie making supplies for
bazaar, lemonade for Lemonade on the Lawn, pie racks for freezers, mugs
for kitchen, letter holder, two waste paper containers, two large garbage
containers, four chairs, two tables, refrigerator, two church school
cupboards, two glass tabletops for new tables, felt pads for chairs, cork
board, and repairs to clock (which was donated by the Ladies Aid in 1986
and recently hung in the new addition). Our activities included: serving
of cake for dedication of the Carillon Bell System, Ruby and Andrew
McGowan’s going away gathering, serving and providing lunch for
Presbytery dinner, and Evelyn Bailey’s 90th birthday. We also
prepared luncheons for five funerals - Edna McVicar, Arthur Langford,
Willliam Jackson, Ruby McGowan and Paul Smithson. The Holly Luncheon & Bazaar was a great success again this year. Thank you to our St. Paul’s congregation for all of your help and support. The profit is used to help with the work of St. Paul’s. This would not be possible without your generosity. All St. Paul’s ladies are invited to join us every second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the large church school hall. |
